Monteverdi was one of the most influential composers of his day. His compositions signaled the transition from the Renaissance to the Baroque ages of music. Great stuff.

I have a Lesney Matchbox Monteverdi Hai (the magenta beast in the bottom pic) from 1970-something. I loved it as a kid.

Too bad they didn't use that spelling for the HS models. Could you imagine a Monterverdi Hai Speed? It would be most excellent.

I have been a Monteverdi fan for a long time. They (I mean High speed 375 models) were still fairly cheap 10 years ago (when I was totally broke) but now the prices seem to be over €100,000 when they are for sale.

Annoying. No Monteverdi for me...

First time I heard of Monteverdi was when one smashed into an MP4-12C at the Concours in Ault Park here in Cincinnati last year. It was the 375/4.

Guy was trying to keep it idling in the reward line when sccrrrttt BANG! Money on Money action.

Sweet looking car though - I thought it was a Maserati!
